Hire a bike and take a water taxi to Te Mahia Bay. Ride the Kenepuru Road back to Portage (about 1.5 hours), or take the Queen Charlotte Track for a more challenging option (about 2.5 hours). Be warned, if you take the track option, bike pushing will be a required for some of the trip, but views will be worth it as you reach the highest point on the Queen Charlotte Track on your way back to Portage. [Biking on track not available December to March.]

Boat departs Portage 10.15am, or bike to Te Mahia and water taxi back to Portage at 2pm (other times available). Pre-booking is required to confirm boat times.
